Referral relationships
A tracked, written system for the builders, property managers and other trades who already send you work.
Manitoba is an unusual market for a trades business. More than half the province lives in one city, and the rest is spread across regional centres that sit an hour or more apart, each with its own trading area and its own word-of-mouth circles. Marketing that works in Winnipeg's suburbs can be wasted money in Winkler, and the reverse is true too. Manitoba.Network builds your plan around that split.
The Manitoba numbers that shape every plan
Winnipeg had 749,607 residents in the 2021 Census, out of 1,342,153 for the whole province, according to the list of Manitoba municipalities that cites Statistics Canada. That is roughly 56% of Manitobans in a single city. The next six cities together (Brandon, Steinbach, Winkler, Portage la Prairie, Thompson and Selkirk) add up to fewer than 120,000 people.
Those two facts lead to very different marketing:
| If most of your work is in… | What usually wins the job | Where we start |
|---|---|---|
| Winnipeg and the surrounding municipalities | Map visibility in your quadrant of the city, fast answers, recent reviews | Local search and tightly fenced Google Ads |
| One regional centre and its trading area | Reputation, referrals from builders and suppliers, a profile that looks active | Reviews and referral relationships |
| Several towns along one highway | Clear service-area pages and ads split by town, not one province-wide budget | A route-based plan, explained in our regional centres guide |
A Winnipeg furnace company competes with dozens of profiles in the map results. A plumber in a town of 13,000 often competes with three or four, but every customer knows somebody who has used each of them. The first fight is about visibility. The second is about trust.
Four services, built for how Manitobans hire trades
We do four things, and we do them in the order your numbers call for.
- Local search and Google Business Profile. Your profile, service pages and listings set up for the towns you serve, with the service-area settings Google expects from a business that works at the customer's home.
- Google Ads and Local Services Ads. Paid search split by city and by job type, so a February no-heat search in St. Vital gets budget and a stray click from Saskatchewan does not.
- Reviews and reputation. A simple, policy-compliant way to ask every real customer for a review, and to answer the ones that sting.
- Referral relationships. Many Manitoba trades already get a large share of work from builders, property managers, realtors and other trades. We help you treat those relationships as a channel: who sends work, how often, and how you thank them properly.
The services overview explains how to choose between them if your budget only covers one or two this year.
What we are, and what we are not
We are a marketing and business consulting service. We plan, build and run the marketing that brings you calls, texts and quote requests, and we advise owners on pricing, service areas and growth. We are not a contractor. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we will never bid against you for a job.
We are also not a referral club, a lead marketplace or a directory of member firms. The "network" in our name is about the relationships and channels inside your own business: the people who send you work, the towns you cover and the searches you show up for.
Manitoba.Network is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. We are a Canadian business, headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, who has spent 17+ years in digital marketing and has built 150+ live HVAC websites. Our parent brand for trades is Trades.Agency. You can read more on the about page.
Seasons matter more here than almost anywhere
Winters here are long and severe, and few parts of southern Canada keep furnaces running for as many months of the year. For a heating or plumbing business that means the expensive searches arrive in a rush when the first deep cold hits. For a roofer, a landscaper or a concrete crew, it means a short building season and a long stretch where the phone barely rings.
We plan the calendar with you before the season, not during it:
- Late summer: fix profiles, collect reviews from summer jobs and set up tracking while things are quiet.
- Freeze-up: heating and plumbing trades lift ad budgets; outdoor trades shift to booking spring work and sending thank-you notes to referral partners.
- Deep winter: heating trades protect margin by answering every call; outdoor trades publish project pages and line up builder work.
- Spring: outdoor trades turn on ads by town; heating trades push maintenance and heat-pump work.
If you sell heat pumps, Efficiency Manitoba's air source heat pump rebate was $2,000 for a centrally ducted cold-climate unit and $1,500 for a ductless one as of October 2026, and the contractor must be registered with Efficiency Manitoba. Confirm current terms with Efficiency Manitoba before you put them in an ad.
Proof, stated honestly
We don't have Manitoba case studies to show you yet, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can show is results from our HVAC work elsewhere in Canada, because the methods are the same ones we would use for you:
- BCWide.ca reached 3× leads in 90 days.
- GasBoilers.ca, a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat, serves 26+ BC communities and holds a 5.0★ rating from 76+ Google reviews, which is the multi-town, review-led model many Manitoba regional trades need.
- HVACDeal.ca generated 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI.
The results page explains what each one shows and what transfers to a Manitoba trade. Prices are on the pricing page, and if you'd rather just talk it through, the contact page explains what to send us.
How it works
Draw your real service map
Tell us which towns you will drive to, your average job value and your slow months. A Steinbach roofer and a Winnipeg drain company need very different plans.
Get a plan with the costs written down
We show you how local search, ads, reviews and referrals would be split across your towns, and what each part should return before we spend a dollar.
Have one straight conversation
No forms and no sales script. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.
Frequently asked questions
What is Manitoba.Network?
We plan and run marketing for Manitoba trades and home-service companies, and advise their owners on growth. Manitoba.Network belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, a Canadian company based in Vancouver, BC, under the leadership of Ali Sedighi, MBA.
Are you a contractor or a referral club for Manitoba trades?
Neither. We are not a contractor and never install, repair or service anything. We are not a membership club either: we don't sell leads or list member firms. We market and advise your business so the work comes to you.
Do you only work in Winnipeg?
No. We plan for the whole province, including Brandon, Steinbach, Winkler and Morden, Portage la Prairie, Thompson and the towns between them. Each region page explains how we would approach that market.
How much does it cost?
The Growth plan is $1,999 a month, or $1,499 a month billed yearly, and GST of 5% is added. Plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice to cancel, and eligible trades businesses get a free 30-minute first consultation.
Can you promise a number of leads?
No. Nobody honest can. We can show you the maths behind a plan, results from our HVAC work, and the exact numbers we will report to you every month.
Do you meet clients in person?
Yes, in person or by video call, and also by phone, text, email and screen share. That means a client in Thompson gets the same attention as one in Winnipeg.
